Ports and Bulk Export Terminals

Seaports and inland terminals are an important market for AMECO. In April 2015, the World Trade Organization (WTO) for instance forecasted that the growth in the volume of world merchandise trade would pick up over the next two years, rising from 2,8% in 2014 to 3,3% in 2015 and eventually to 4% in 2016.

Moreover, an expansion in iron ore, coal and other major bulks was predicted. It is expected that these factors will drive the growth in seaborne trade and associated bulk handling services.

This is where AMECO is playing an important role. For the ports and terminals industry, we namely provide a complete range of travelling, slewing and/or luffing shiploading equipment that can be installed onto longitudinal jetties. Our shiploaders can handle virtually any type of dry bulk material.

Some of our most frequently loaded materials are: cement, coal, fertilizers and grain. Moreover, AMECO can provide the stacker/reclaimer systems required for the storage of bulk materials in intermediate stockyards.
